Mike Jeffrey, president

Mike has over 15 years in the wind industry. He started his career in wind as a manufacturing engineer with Tacke Windpower Inc moving to management positions as production manager and acting General Manager.

Tacke, which eventually operated in Canada as Bolwell Corporation, built blades for both the Zond 750kw and the 1.5mw. Tacke was later acquired by GE from Enron.

After Bolwell, Mike became President and a minority shareholder of Composotech Structures Inc. and became successful in blade servicing and repair. Mike left Composotech in Q2 of Y2010 to become the controlling shareholder of CWC.

The team at CWC was broadened when other senior people who had previously worked with Mike at both Tacke and Composotech joined CWC.



Lisa Rempel, director of quality assurance

Lisa has over 15 years of experience in all aspects of blade manufacturing, repair and quality. Starting in the lamination department at Tacke, she progressed to Quality Control Inspector and Health and Safety Coordinator leading the efforts to reduce the number of Non Conformances to Product and Employee Accidents / Incidents. This role was expanded during employment with Composotech. She has on tower experience across a full range of MW turbines, currently leads a crew of Quality Inspectors and is well qualified for her role in QA.



Chris Wraith, Engineer

Chris, a graduate from the University of Waterloo, joined Mike Jeffrey following his graduation and has gained a practical knowledge of blade tooling and Quality Inspection both in North America and as a team leader in India where he headed up quality inspections at a Blade manufacturing facility. He fills the additional roll of technical liaison for vibration testing with Berlin Wind, a CWC Alliance Partner.



Barry Brawn, SVP of Corporate Development

Barry has over 30 years domestic & international expertise and over 7 years in Wind. Transactions have been concluded across a spectrum of early stage, emerging growth and Fortune 500 companies in Canada, the United States, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, the United Kingdom, South Korea, Japan, China and the Caribbean.

Barry commenced his business career in Industrial Engineering with ITE Circuit Breaker, the high voltage switchgear subsidiary of Gould, a Fortune 500 company, moving to senior positions in Procurement and Computer Operations. During his tenure, ITE was a major supplier to public utilities including Ontario Hydro, BC Hydro and Hydro Quebec and to major corporations such as Brascan, General Motors, Ford, Chrysler and Alcan.
